legendary noughties band, The Libertines announce Barrowland

Exciting  Tour Announcement by The Libertines

In a thrilling update for fans, the legendary noughties band, The Libertines, recently declared their reunion after nine years, accompanied by news of a colossal Glasgow show at the iconic Barrowlands Ballroom. The anticipation is building as the band, known for their energetic performances, gears up for an extensive UK tour.

The Libertines are scheduled to grace Glasgow's Barrowlands Ballroom in October, and for dedicated fans on their mailing list, a special presale opportunity awaits on Friday, February 23, at 9 am. This exclusive access gives fans a chance to secure tickets before the general public, adding an extra layer of excitement to the announcement.

As part of their tour, The Libertines will also be hitting the stages in other vibrant cities, including Liverpool, Leeds, Dublin, and Manchester. The announcement of their reunion surfaced last year, with frontmen Pete Doherty and Carl Barat not only promising electrifying performances but also unveiling plans for a brand-new album.

Their latest single, "Run, Run, Run," released in 2023, is just a taste of what fans can expect from the upcoming album titled "All Quiet on the Eastern Esplanade," scheduled to be released on March 8. Pete Doherty, in an interview with The Chris Moyles Show, shared insights into the band's creative process, mentioning how they sat down with their guitars and, after a stint in Normandy, managed to craft a compelling collection of songs for the album.

Reflecting on their illustrious career, The Libertines burst onto the scene in 2002 with the debut single "What A Waster." Their popularity soared, with over 760,000 albums sold in the UK alone. Hits like "Can't Stand Me Now," "Don't Look Back into The Sun," and "What Became of the Likely Lads" defined their heydays and continue to resonate with fans. Stay tuned for an unforgettable musical journey as The Libertines reunite and take the stage once again!
