In the vibrant city of Glasgow's rich cultural history, the Barrowland Ballroom stands as a legendary haven for music enthusiasts. What sets this iconic venue apart, however, is not just the memorable performances that have graced its stage I have  freezed those moments in time. As the first photographer in Glasgow's history to receive carte blanche access to document the Barrowland, I have embarked on a visual journey that would immortalize the soul-stirring essence of this historic space.

Throughout the years, the Barrowland has echoed with the sounds of musical greatness, welcoming some of the most iconic names in the industry. From the cosmic charisma of David Bowie to the tartan-clad enthusiasm of The Bay City Rollers, the venue has been a muse for artists across genres. Simple Minds, The Libertines, and Elvis Costello, among others, have all graced the Barrowland stage, leaving an indelible mark on its storied history.

I have went beyond mere documentation. It became a bridge between the ephemeral magic of live performances and everlasting visual narratives. Each click of the camera shutter captured not just the musicians on stage, but the palpable energy that permeated the air—the sweat, the cheers, the shared moments between artists and their adoring fans.

David Bowie's ethereal presence, bathed in dramatic lighting, seems to reverberate through Anderson's lens, creating a visual symphony that echoes the very essence of Ziggy Stardust. The Bay City Rollers, frozen mid-jump in their exuberance, embody the infectious energy that defined the spirit of the Barrowland during their era.
