christmas in Glasgow - a photographers story

Tis the festive season in Glasgow, where the streets come alive with holiday magic. As a street photographer, I set out to capture the heart-warming moments that make Christmas in the city truly special.

On a chilly Christmas Eve, I focused my lens on the iconic Barras market chatting to my friend Simon Weir who's  runs the amazing Zico boutique . Amidst the twinkling lights Simon spots the Santa and the BAD sign and shouts Bad Santa , I snapped a photo of the unconventional "Bad Santa," challenging traditional holiday norms Bad Santa adding a unique flair to the festivities.

Exploring the city's nooks, I stumbled upon a touching scene – a different kind of Santa, dressed not in the usual red and but radiating kindness. This Santa wasn't at the North Pole but on the streets, sharing moments of compassion with a homeless man. It was a reminder that Christmas is about giving, compassion, and unity.

Glasgow's streets, adorned with festive lights, became my canvas. Each frame told a story – the laughter of children, the glow of street vendors, and the collective joy that echoed through the city. It was a visual celebration of diversity and togetherness.
